Academic requirements

Undergraduate

You should have one of the following:

Técnico Superior
a recognised International Foundation course from a UK institution. Please contact the Admissions Team for specific grade entries.

For Year 1 entry you should have completed one of the below:

A Levels, International Baccalaureate or a recognised Access or Foundation course that followed a UK syllabus
One year at a recognised university in Brazil – includes GPA 2/6/4.0 or 7.0/10/0+ depending on subject area and which university you attended.

For Year 2 entry you should have completed:

A Higher National Diploma (HND) with upper credit or distinction.

Postgraduate

For Master’s degree level, you should have:

a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of a 2:2 (with Honours).

For PhD level study, you should have:

a Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university.

English requirements

For foundation year entry

IELTS or equivalent – minimum of 5.0
IELTS Writing – minimum of 5.0
IELTS in all other bands – minimum of 4.0.

For undergraduate

IELTS or equivalent – 6.0 overall
IELTS Writing – minimum of 6.0
IELTS in all other bands – minimum of 5.5.

If you have achieved at least a C in English IGCSE, this should be enough for you to be accepted onto an undergraduate course.

For postgraduate

IELTS – minimum of 6.5
IELTS Writing – minimum of 6.0
IELTS in all other bands – minimum of 5.5.
