10 reasons why you should attend our Open Day.

We know that choosing a university is one of the most important decisions you'll make, so visiting one of our Open Days is a great opportunity for you to explore the many exciting aspects of student life at Canterbury Christ Church.

1. Meet your lecturers

Your lecturers will lead and support you through your education at university, so come and meet our dedicated team at our subject area stands. It's a great opportunity for you to ask them questions about the course(s) you are interested in and hear how they'll support you in your studies.

2. Learn about the course

Before you apply it's important to understand how and what you'll learn. As well as speaking to lecturers you can discover more about the content of courses and the way they're taught by attending subject talks, taster sessions, workshops and demonstrations.

3. Chat to current students

Our Student Ambassadors will be on hand to show you the way, with guided tours and plenty of opportunities to answer your questions. Speaking to them is a great way to get an honest insight into what it's like being a Christ Church student and to hear their experiences about living and studying in Canterbury or Medway.

4. Discover our facilities

See for yourself our wide range of specialist facilities and equipment, with tours and drop in sessions throughout the day, including around our award winning library, science labs, Bloomberg trading room, Sport Centre and much more. You can also explore the campus at your own pace using our self-guided tour leaflet.

5. Look around accommodation

Whether you've decided to move away from home or haven't yet decided, take a look around our halls of residence. You can either join one of our popular student-led tours or visit a range of rooms and flats that will be open to view in your own time.

6. Listen to our informative talks

If you'd like more detail about a course, student life or the services we offer, then our range of talks will complete your visit. It gives you the chance to hear about a subject in depth, from accommodation options or student finance, to completing a UCAS application. It also provides another opportunity to ask questions.

7. Discover our student services

Our student services are here to support you throughout your studies. From student loans, grants and bursaries to counselling, health and wellbeing, our teams will be on hand to answer questions and give great advice on what you can access as a student.

8. Hear about the Students' Union

Going to uni is one of the most life-changing things you'll experience, and Christ Church Students' Union is here to support you from application through to graduation and beyond. Meet our Students' Union and learn about the range of sports clubs, societies, events and guidance on offer.

9. Get a feel for the place

Visiting one of our Open Days is an ideal time for you to get a real feel for what it's like to study and live at Christ Church. Experience for yourself our friendly student and staff community, walk around the campus and imagine what it would be like to study here.

10. Check out the local area

University isn't just about learning. There's plenty of time for you to explore and enjoy life, so discover what the local area has to offer. Our Canterbury Campus is right on the doorstep of this fantasticcity, with its historic streets lined with shops, cafes, bars and restaurant, while our Medway Campus is near a vibrant complex where you'll find a multiplex cinema, outlet shopping centre and lively marine-side restaurants.
