Read&Write literacy software makes the web, documents and files more accessible – any time, any place, and on any platform or device. It's great for people with dyslexia and other learning difficulties, or anyone whose first language isn't English.
From reading on-screen text aloud to researching and checking written work, Read&Write makes lots of everyday tasks easier. It’s a big confidence booster for anyone who needs a little extra help with their reading and writing, at school or in the workplace.
Read&Write Gold is installed on all student and staff PCs and Macs at the University.
JAWS is a screen reader developed for computer users whose vision loss prevent them from seeing screen content or navigating with the mouse. JAWS provides speech and Braille output for the most popular computer applications on your PC.
JAWS is available on PCs located in a dedicated room in Augustine House.
Dolphin Supernova is a screen reader and screen magnification package designed for people with vision loss.

Blackboard provides a web page with a detailed description on accessibility.
PortableApps.com lets you carry all your favourite apps on a portable device or cloud drive and use them on any PC. Your browser with your bookmarks and extensions, your office suite, your photo editor, your music collection, your games, your development tools and more.
You can type and edit a document by speaking in Google Docs.

Inspiration is a mind mapping software for visual mapping, outlining, writing and making presentations.
Inspiration is available on all student and staff PCs at the University.
Timer Tab is a website as well as a free extension for Google Chrome that combines the functions of a countdown timer, alarm clock, and stopwatch, and has the ability to notify the user when an alarm goes off.
Browser does not support script.
