As a student of a joint programme - Global Politics and French at CCCU I was selected for the ERASMUS exchange programme and spent my second undergraduate year studying politics, law and French language in Montpellier, France. That experience really opened my eyes to various job opportunities and paved the road for an international career. Returning back to CCCU for my final year, I received very good guidance from professors who motivated me to further pursue my passion for international politics, economics and diplomacy in Vienna.
During my master studies in Austria, I worked in political and diplomatic affairs at the national level (for a Slovak Member of parliament) as well as at the international level (United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime and Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe). My interest in energy security led me after graduation to work for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization where I have been part of an international team implementing renewable energy projects across the globe. The aim of our work is to give people access to energy (mainly in developing countries), enhance their energy security and help them to achieve inclusive and sustainable industrial development.
