My role: to develop relationships between the school, its students and stakeholders to improve the student experience, enhance teaching and learning opportunities and develop our students and courses in line with industry needs.
I joined CCCU in June 2015, having worked in the Information Advice and Guidance Sector for the previous 13 years. My roles in this time period where varied but at the hart involved supporting young people and their families to reach their potential and access further education, employment and training opportunities. I came to the university from a charity ‘CXK’ where in the last six years of service I held various management positions across Kent, specialising in establishing and developing teams and projects with a focus on vulnerable groups and looked after children.
My roles in project management have honed my skills in establishing services, building brand awareness and strategies for developing and imbedding new services and creating strong multi-disciplinary networks.
I am CMI qualified with 6 years’ experience managing projects, contracts and teams. I also hold advanced level supervision qualifications, mentoring and coaching and level 4 qualifications in advice and guidance.
I am passionate about education and gain a great deal of satisfaction in helping people on their journey into meaningful employment. Working at the university enables me to support a diverse range of individuals and build relationships across a number of platforms. It’s a great place to work.
