Adriana Consorte-McCrea has an MSc in Conservation Biology (DICE, UKC) and a PhD in Ecology (UKC, CCCU). She has been a regular sessional lecturer in the School of Human and Life Sciences since 2004. As a conservation biologist she has worked in Brazil and the UK. Her research focuses on how people relate to biodiversity and to the conservation of native wildlife, including the role of zoos in forming attitudes. She chairs the Wildlife and People Research Group, as part of the Ecology Research Group, ERG-CCCU. Adriana is a member of the IUCN SSC/Reintroduction Specialist Group and of the Britain and Ireland Association of Zoos and Aquaria-BIAZA. As a Lead in Education for Sustainable Development, she is part of the Futures Initiative team, Sustainability Development Office, where she is based.
