I am currently Principal Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology in the Department of Sport Science, Tourism and Leisure at the Canterbury Campus. Following the exciting growth of sport and exercise science over the past 25 years, my main interest has focused towards group dynamics and coaching, together with applied sport psychology. I am module leader for the level 6 module in the psychology of sport coaching and contribute to level 6 applied sport psychology. In addition I contribute to modules across the sport and exercise psychology degree and modules in sport psychology in the sport and exercise science degree.
Research and knowledge exchange
I have recently been part of a team which was able to secure funding from Sport England for Trysport project to increase participation levels by students and staff.
Teaching and subject expertise
My main subject interest is related to group dynamics and the psychology of sport coaching. In addition I have a keen interest in applied sport psychology.
