The 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF2014) rated the majority of research in the School of Human and Life Sciences as world leading and internationally excellent.
The School’s extensive research and knowledge exchange portfolio delivers insights that have informed national policy and programmes such as the Change 4 Life campaign.
However, it also contributes to a research enhanced offer to students that embeds research involvement in the curriculum and allows students to experience first-hand how the human and life sciences subjects and disciplines they are studying make a difference to society, the environment and people’s lives.
Our research in this field is organised across three themes: clinical exercise science, human performance, and policy, politics and education.
