In 2013 Antonio has joined the Business School. Antonio joined CCCU Department of Social Work, Community and Mental Health from the University of Kent in 2000 where he was member of the European Institute of Social Services. Before moving to the UK Antonio was Deputy Chair of the training unit of an Italian research and training centre.
Antonio is member of the Business School Public and Third Sector R&KE Group.
His research , academic and professional interests include the role of system psychodynamics in Higher Education, cross boundary collaborations and whole system change processes in third sector and community settings, complexity theories and action research applied to organisational and community systems and in organisational consultancy. These interest have led to local, national and international collaborations in research, professional development and teaching.
Antonio holds a Bsc in History of Contemporary Political Philosophy (University of Calabria, Italy) and MA in Advance Organisational Consultation (The Tavistock Institute and the City University, London).
Research and knowledge exchange
Currently researches project include: identification of joint work between HEI and social enterprises, the use of Listening Posts as organisational consultancy intervention, community engagement in HEI, action research and community engagement for increasing awareness of alcohol related risks during pregnancy, whole system change in a complex social enterprise.
He has been involved in the initial development and establishment of the strategy and framework for knowledge exchange activities in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing at CCCU. He has been Faculty KT lead before moving to the Business School in 2013 taking up the role of KE Support Lead. In the Business School Antonio coordinates the annual R&KE Seminar series.

From Action with Communities in Rural Kent for a pilot project that aims at contributing to the capacity building of voluntary and community organisations and social through the development of awareness and competences in business and organisational processes for individuals in leadership and managerial roles, groups, organisations and communities.
From Enterprise Educator UK for designing an innovative module at undergraduate and postgraduate level on working with and in social enterprises
Teaching and subject expertise
Currently Antonio is Programme Director of the MBA Healthcare and Education.
Antonio lectures at postgraduate level on psychodynamics of cross-boundaries collaboration, decision making in professional contexts and leading and managing changes. At undergraduate level Antonio teaches on management and leadership and strategic management.
Antonio has organised and has been part of organising committees for local, national and international conferences and seminars. He regularly presents on his research interests at national and international conferences.
