Happy High Street Competition

Put your business knowledge to the test for a chance to win £250!

What is this about?

This competition puts all of your business knowledge to the test. Looking at your local “High Street”, suggest a shop you believe would be a successful addition. You can suggest an established retailer, a new company that you have heard about or your own brand new shop.

What have you got to do?

Identify a shop, and explain why you think they should open on the High Street.  Your analysis should include aspects such as finance, marketing, operations and people.  Submit it online. This can be a word document, a poster, a short video – it is up to you.  Your submissions will be judged on their professionalism, evidence of detailed research, and innovation. The Closing date is 8th December 2017!

Who is it for?

This competition is open to students in year 11 or year 12. We recommend making your proposal in teams however individual projects are welcome.

What are the prizes?

The winning team will receive a £250 Shopping Spree. Each member of the wining and runner-up teams will receive a certificate of achievement presented at an award ceremony at Augustine House.

Why you should give it a go?

This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your research and analytical abilities. These are invaluable skills for the future, whether at University or going straight into work. Think how good that first place would look on your CV!
