Kwaku Asiedu

Kwaku Asiedu spent 10 weeks working in our SportsLab. Drawing on his new business and marketing experience, Kwaku conducted a full review of SportsLab's marketing and communications, creating a new template for how we communicate with new and existing customers.

Sophie Geddes worked with Sport and Exercise Science lecturers and PhD students to begin the initial stages in gaining an accreditation from UKAD.

Natalie Mearns

Natalie Mearns conducted research on the impact of physical activity guidelines on public health. Working under the supervision of Professor Mike Weed, Natalie looked at over one hundred full research articles and investigated the different ways public guidelines are applied.

Stephen Pillow

Stephen Pillow worked with the team in SPEAR to develop a suite of tools to promote physical literacy in schools. Stephen also helped recruit schools to engage in the project.

Sport and Exercise Psychology

  

Matthew Robinson

Matthew Robinson helped to contribute to our research in sport and exercise psychology. As part of his internship Matthew conducted a citation network analysis to review the emotions associated with physical activity. This involved identifying relevant databases of literature and establishing key search terms in order to create a visual representation of the prominent theories in the field.
