Supervisory team
- Martin Anson - 1st supervisor
- Lance Slade - 2nd supervisor
Research outline
Results from my MSc Thesis highlighted when studying children’s aspirations/expectations, Special Educational Needs should not be studied as one umbrella term, as there were significant differences between children with dyslexia and children with ASD. I am now completing further research, specifically focusing on ASD and identifying potential factors that may result in reduced aspirations/expectations.
Research outputs
The research is aiming to identify if aspirations/expectations are reduced for children with ASD as a result of factors relating to: cognition, society/environment or the self.
