Profile summary

I am a part-time PhD student in Psychology supervised by Dr Sabina Hulbert.  My research is examining institutionalized work-related bullying in the context of modern managerial practices. Traditional conceptions of ‘bullying’ in the work place talk about victims and perpetrators, taking an individualist and pathological model. My research will investigate an alternative hypothesis. Namely that the growth of bullying is associated with a move to a more outcome driven and performance orientated management culture, particularly in the public sector.
