The School of Psychology at Canterbury Christ Church University has a dedicated team of research-active staff who are passionate about teaching.

Our postgraduate courses have been designed to deliver an excellent postgraduate experience, with a high level of linkage between modules enhancing the coherence of your learning about Psychology. You will work in a supportive, dynamic and diverse community of students and postdoctoral researchers in specialist facilities. You will also have the opportunity to study either full time or part time. 

MSc Forensic and Investigative Psychology

This MSc is designed for graduates from relevant disciplines and professionals wishing to pursue specialised training in forensic and investigative psychology. This course provides specialised teaching from professionals and academics within the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), including Psychology; Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology and School of Law, Criminal Justice and Computing. The programme also draws upon external forensic and investigative psychologists, practitioners and researchers to enhance your learning experience. PGCert Forensic and Investigative Psychology

This PGCert is designed for professionals and graduates from relevant disciplines wishing to pursue further education and professional development in the area of Forensic and Investigative Psychology. The course has a strong focus on students gaining key skills for potential employability. MSc Foundations in Clinical Psychology

This MSc is designed for psychology graduates who are considering onward study in clinical psychology. It is delivered in collaboration with our Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, at the Salomons Institute and includes the provision of specialised teaching from qualified clinical psychologists. Training in research methods on this course will offer you opportunity to engage in sophisticated, postgraduate level research in clinically-related areas of psychology. At the end of the course you will have gained an in-depth knowledge of theory, practice and research in clinical psychology, a discipline that involves the application of the scientific theory and principles of psychology to help understanding in the alleviation of psychological distress, and in promoting well-being. MSc Psychology (Conversion Course)

Our MSc Psychology (conversion course) is designed for those wanting to pursue a career in psychology but who hold an undergraduate degree in a subject other than psychology or a non-accredited psychology degree (either combined or single honours). This conversion course will give you a good grounding in the core areas of psychology and confer eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS), which is a requirement for postgraduate training in psychology. Find out more about our MSc Psychology (Conversion Course).

MSc by Research

The MSc by Research in Psychology, within the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences, aims to develop researchers who are conceptually aware, who can utilise a range of skills and methods, and who can practise and develop their own research capabilities, and disseminate that research in a meaningful way. ur four main areas of research are: learning and development; society and environment; creativity and cognition; and health and wellbeing. Find out more about our MSc by Research in Psychology.
