In 2013 the University and one of its established partner institutions, Bromley College of Further and Higher Education entered into an alliance, which has produced a range of exciting learning opportunities for our students, staff and wider communities.
In 2016, Bromley College incorporated Orpington, Greenwich and Bexley Colleges to become London South East Colleges. Since then, Canterbury Christ Church University has further strengthened its partnership and expanded the opportunities available to students.
Degree study in this supportive HE in FE setting enables our students to remain locally and to learn within a familiar setting yet still benefit from the expertise and wider opportunities that Canterbury Christ Church students enjoy. Often this means students completing the first two years of study at Bromley Campus followed by a final year at a Canterbury Christ Church University campus.
Close collaboration has enabled Christ Church to extend and enhance the range of university degree and professional level courses that can be studied. Working in alliance with London South East Colleges provides the flexibility to customise the university experience for students in the area.
Staff and students from both institutions continue to unite to work together on diverse projects and to enjoy enriched teaching and learning experiences supported by HEA Fellowships, associate tutor and subject specialist training. London South East Colleges University Centre and Canterbury Christ Church University offer voluntary internship placements for teacher training in the sector; the placement, combined with theoretical input, develops sound professional practice for teachers of the future.
