Dan Turner

I studied Politics and International Relations at Canterbury Christ Church from 2012-2015 and it ranks amongst the best decisions I’ve ever made. In my three years in Canterbury I developed tremendously as a person in academic, sporting and social circles. After a matter of weeks my lecturers knew me personally and from then on I had a great working rapport with them. The Politics team at CCCU were supportive and friendly across my three years and I received great help and advice whenever I sought it, particularly through the stressful dissertation period.

Only a couple of months after leaving CCCU I was offered the role of Strategic Policy Analyst at a Further Education college in the West Midlands, thus transferring many skills I had acquired through my politics degree; my ability to research and understand government policy, to analyse data and to deliver presentations with confidence to name three. CCCU gave me a great platform for my career, working with some quite brilliant political scientists. My advice would certainly be to pursue your academic study there - if I could do it all over again I would.
