Europe in the World

Our theme ‘Europe in the World’ encompasses research and impact activities relating to the European Union and its institutions, EU policy-making and regulation as well as EU Foreign Policy and related questions of geopolitics. Furthermore, it covers research on the significance and impact of Brexit at international, national and local levels (with a particular focus on the UK and the Kent and Medway area). It also incorporates the research, impact and knowledge exchange activities of the Jean Monnet Centre for European Studies (CEFEUS).

Centre for European Studies (CEFEUS)

Our Centre for European Studies (CEFEUS) hosts a number of activities in European Politics, based upon a three-fold mandate of teaching, training and outreach to foster progressive insights on EU integration, locally, nationally, and internationally.
