My experience at CCCU was incredibly influential. When it comes to the impact of the Sociology degree itself it’s safe to say that I was a different person from when I started. I was alwaysinterested in social theory, and the millions of different ways that we can think about theworld around us. At CCCU Sociology the learning opportunities on offer allowed me to tap into that interest. This made the learning experience immersive, enjoyable and intellectually stimulating. In addition, the staff on the Sociology programme where always accommodating and helpful when it came to academic support and advice, which was particularly useful when it came to the more challenging aspects of the degree. Their willingness to go out of their way to help the students is one of the main reasons why I would recommend studying Sociology at CCCU.

I have remained in contact with the lecturers following my departure from the university, and they have remained invaluable to my academic progression as I am currently putting what I learned to good use. Starting from the summer of 2017 I will be studying a Masters in Sociology again at the University of Kent, where I’ll look to draw upon the tools and knowledge at my disposal that I developed whilst at CCCU.  Sociology at Canterbury Christ Church can be a profound and positive influence on everything you do, both during and after your time there.
