Domestic Abuse Traditional Assumptions and Modern Realities

The Canterbury Centre for Policing Research (CCPR) at Canterbury Christ Church University is hosting a roundtable for students, professionals, academics and the general public. The event will include three presentations with different perspectives on ‘modern realities’ of domestic abuse. The audience will have an opportunity to discuss their views on domestic abuse and how we all, as professionals and members of the community, can continue to improve the way victims are supported.

The Focus of this event will be:

  • To discuss supporting victims of domestic abuse in the current socio-political climate
  • To understand the investigation of domestic abuse from a policing perspective
  • To explore reaching different populations when addressing domestic abuse
