A 'hands-on' business experience

At Christ Church Business School we understand that the best way to learn is by doing.

We bring the real world into the classroom providing a ‘hands-on’ experience in a variety of ways:

  • The IBM Universities Business Challenge, the UK's premier undergraduate business competition for enhancing employability skills.
  • Live project briefs including the Google online Marketing Challenge where you run a live campaign.
  • Preparing our graduates for job applications and interviews are embedded in your degree. The video below shows how one practical assessment helps you develop your skills so you can perform well in front of your future employer.
  • A work based module where you learn ‘on the job’.
  • The Christ Church Business School Trading Floor provides an authentic City Trading environment with real time data streamed into this state-of-the-art facility.

Crisis communications

We recently ran a 'Crisis Simulation Day' for students taking our Public Relations module. Over 90 students took part in the event, which simulated a real life public relations crisis, which the students had to react to in 'real time'. You can watch a video of the day below:

Practical work experience
