An exciting live project with Visit Kent, for the newly developing initiative, the Kent Hospitality, Tourism and Transport Guild.

Our students market testing their logo designs

We were approached by Visit Kent to explore the possibilities of our students being involved in the logo design for the Guild; a logo designed by young people for young people. Working with Tourism and Events Hub staff with expertise in marketing and branding, the students designed logos and wrote logo/brand proposals to be submitted to the competition with Visit Kent. The Kent Choices4U exhibition provided the perfect opportunity for the students to concept test their logo designs with young people before pitching their ideas to Visit Kent, and then to the Steering Group of the Guild. Kristina Zelinkova, a third year Tourism Management student, was selected as having the winning concept and logo.

'It was great to work with the Canterbury Christ Church University Tourism and Events Research Hub and their students on the development of the Hospitality Guild logo. The students brought a fresh and  unique insight to the project with lots of enthusiasm and creativity. Their professional approach supported by market research and guided by their lecturers delivered high quality results and we are very proud of the winning logo design which we now use in our marketing material. We look forward to working in partnership with the Hub in the future.'
