About us

The COaST research and consultancy group comprises researchers, academics and practitioners who have a shared interest in evaluation methods for the arts and cultural sectors. We use these methods to develop and deliver robust evaluation frameworks that allow arts organisations to better understand and report on their impact.

The group is based in the Christ Church Business School, but also includes academics working in the departments of Travel and Tourism, Arts and Humanities, and Education.

Research and Consultancy

We are fluent in research design and we develop and implement surveys, focus groups, depth interviews and secondary data collection. Using these tools, we are able to offer our clients sophisticated analyses of their events and activities, contributing to their strategic planning and enabling them to report effectively to stakeholders.

Our work concentrates on:

• The role and value of the creative and cultural sectors, particularly to people and communities.
• The ways in which cultural interventions contribute to patterns of economic and social change, mainly in the context of arts-led regeneration.
