Our Christ Church Business School Trading Floor offers Accounting and Finance students the chance to gain practical experience of trade floor activities and financial market analysis.
We are one of the few universities in the UK offering direct use of Bloomberg data, information and analytics in a dedicated trading room which provides a simulation of what it’s like to work on a real trading floor in the financial district.

As an undergraduate Accounting and/or Finance student, you will have easy access to historical data, asset prices, macroeconomic data and financial statement information – all of which can be used for research and knowledge exchange purposes. You will also be able to develop your own trading strategies and portfolio management styles tailored to your risk profile as part of your hands-on learning experience here at Christ Church Business School.
Real-world data
As part of your learning experience you will be exposed to live tick-by-tick changes in prices observed in:
- Global stock markets
- Government and corporate bond markets
- Global credit markets
- Currency markets
- Commodity markets
You will also be able to observe live financial market reaction to macroeconomic news and random events, both economic and geopolitical, giving you an insight into the way global markets respond to these events.
