Students will develop their understanding of how the photography industry is becoming eco-friendly and tackling environmental challenges.

In this in-depth two-hour workshop with an academic and/or ambassadors, students will develop their understanding of the environmental challenges of “traditional” darkroom practices and how the industry is developing eco-friendly processes that preserve the tradition of darkroom printing. Students will have opportunity to experiment with photo-sensitive paper and how to minimize their environmental footprint within their physical image creation.

Students get to experience our state-of-the-art Daphne Oram building for creative arts which includes specialist digital imaging and film processing suites and well-equipped studios.
