In this in-depth two- to three-hour workshop with an academic and/or ambassadors, students will deepen their understanding of the importance of sound in cinema. They will develop their understanding of a range of techniques for understanding and analysing sound in film, such as Michel Chion’s ‘masking’ method. Students will then apply their knowledge as they use their own mobile phones and university sound equipment to record a sync sound sequence.

Students will have opportunity to experience our industry level facilities such as our professional TV studio and TV Gallery to our multi-functional studio, lighting, and teaching spaces
