In this one-hour masterclass with an academic and/or postgraduate ambassadors, students will develop their understanding of the continuing issue of modern slavery and its relationship to market demand for low-cost products. Through the discussion of contemporary (UK and global) examples students will examine how modern businesses are working to fight and safeguard against unethical practices. They will also critically consider the legal, and moral issues associated with modern slavery and the wider social issues and complexities that arise in responding to the global challenge of sweatshops.

Slavery has never gone away. Today's business world is plagued by slavery in the modern form. This engaging, thought provoking masterclass will look at how businesses are fighting modern day slavery delivered by a Canterbury Christ Church University academic.
