In this hands-on workshop, students will explore the creative possibilities of Risograph printing, a unique and eco-friendly printing method that combines digital design with vibrant spot colors.
Students will learn the history of Risograph printing, originally developed in Japan, and its contemporary renaissance in art and design. They'll discover how to prepare artwork for Riso printing, understand colour separations, and experiment with overlapping inks to create striking visual effects.
Working in our state-of-the-art print studio in the Daphne Oram building, students will design and produce their own Riso prints using our professional Risograph duplicator. They'll gain practical experience with both digital design tools and hands-on printing techniques.
Students are encouraged to bring artwork. If they are not able to do so, a cap of 12 visiting students is required.
