In this masterclasses, students will develop their understanding of a range of essential areas of finance and accounting through the real-world examples.

In this fast-paced series of one-hour masterclasses with an academic and/or postgraduate ambassadors, students will develop their understanding of a range of essential areas of finance and accounting and through the real-world example of the healthcare industry deepen their understanding of how external factors influence financial decision making.

Tax: In this masterclass students will develop their understanding of taxation and the impact of economic climate on business decisions, as well as the impact of taxation on the individual and provision of public services.

Accounting: In this masterclass students develop their understanding of the role of accounting in business, including the balance of payments, and how accounts can provide an overview of the position of the business. Students will have opportunity to apply their skills on the University’s accounts.

Prioritising resources: Financial Decisions in the Healthcare Industry: In this masterclass students will deepen their understanding of the impact of the external environment and economic policy on financial decisions making in business. They will apply their understanding to the healthcare industry and examine how PESTLE analysis is performed to guide financial decision-making in the sector.

Depending on the length of your visit students will each experience two or three of the masterclasses, all three masterclasses are offered during the carousel. The sessions are one hour each and can be booked individually.
