In this workshop students will deepen their knowledge of the role of engineering within the sports sector.

In this innovative and interdisciplinary three-hour workshop students will provide students with the opportunity to work with academics and/or postgraduate ambassadors from Engineering and Sports Science. The first one-hour session will deepen students’ knowledge of the role of engineering within the sports sector. Students will develop their understanding of sports engineering at CCCU and about current (students) projects such as stress-testing protective sports equipment. The final two-hours take place in the Sports lab providing students with an opportunity to get hands on with a range of fitness tests either as an athlete or sports scientist. This workshop provides a rich interdisciplinary workshop which empowers students consider the breadth of career opportunities available to them in sports engineering and science.
