This workshop will develop students’ understanding of dance history, its relevance and influence on contemporary technique, choreography and practice.

This in-depth two-hour masterclass with an academic and/or ambassadors, will develop students’ understanding of dance history and its relevance and influence on contemporary technique, choreography and practice. Students will be introduced to influential figures from the 20th and 21st Centuries and develop their knowledge of the historical contexts of pioneering techniques and the relationship between dance history and their own practice. They may have opportunity to experience our dedicated performance spaces.
