This taster day provides students with the experience of working to a brief as they create a Zine (photography publication) from conception to competition.

This in-depth taster day with an academic and/or ambassadors, provides students with the experience of working to a brief as they create a Zine (photography publication) from conception to competition.

Students will identify an issue that matters to them. They will develop their understanding and application of research and design strategies to arrive at a completed project by the end of the session. They will deepen their knowledge of sequencing and layout as they critically consider how they can use media to inform, educate, challenge, or reinforce. Students will consider the powerful potential of design and recognise their own agency in developing their portfolio and being agents of change.

Students get to use professional tools and equipment (including photography and printmaking) in our state-of-the-art Daphne Oram building for creative arts which includes industry-spec print studio and Mac rooms.

Students do not need to have a background in design to take part in the session.
