In this masterclass students will develop their understanding of the breadth of and distinctions between computing specialisms at university.

In this one-hour masterclass with an academic and/or ambassadors, students will develop their understanding of the breadth of and distinctions between computing specialisms at university (including computer forensics, business information systems, computing intelligence, and computer science) supporting them to make informed choices about their pre-/post-16 and HE subject choices. Students will deepen their understanding of the breadth of career opportunities (from data analysis to cyber security) and develop their knowledge of what it is like to study computing at CCCU, including gaining an insight into the opportunities for industry placements and some of the industry and ethical challenges they may examine during their degree.

If notified in advance this talk can be adapted to focus specifically on one or more computing specialisms to suit the needs/interests of your students.
