Mr William Henniker

Senior Lecturer in Games Design

School of Sciences, Psychology, Arts&Humanities, Computing, Engineering & Sports

I am a Senior Lecturer in Games Design and Route Lead for NA Games. I specialise in independent and small-scale games development and design.

As a Senior Lecturer on the Games Design programme, I lead various modules based around student projects, helping students achieve effective collaboration to produce small-scale games.

I also advise students on games careers, helping them identify professional pathways and ways into the industry based on their own skill sets and personal interests.

Additionally, I support the programme by liaising with industry partners, such as Epic Games and various others.

For my research, I am currently exploring games pedagogy and how we can better teach students to become game developers through play and experiential learning.

Currently, I am involved with for Games, working with schools and colleges to support students in informing their journeys into games development.

Additionally, I am working with industry showcases, taking students to showcase their projects to the public and wider industry.
