Dr Virginia Bower

I am a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director in the Department of Primary Education at Canterbury Christ Church University.  My subject is English and my chief academic interests are related to poetry in the primary classroom and working with children who have English as an additional language.

My areas of expertise are primary poetry and working with children with English as an additional language.  I completed my PhD in 2016, centred on supporting children with English as an additional language.
