Vicky is a Senior Lecturer in Practice Learning and Schwartz Facilitator, and is aligned to the School of Nursing.

I graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2000. I have had experience in the acute sector specialising in critical care and medicine. I have been a Practice Placement Facilitator, an Adult Nurse Lecturer, and I am now a part of a dynamic team of senior lecturers in practice learning aligned to the School of Nursing. I am a fully trained Schwartz facilitator and have implemented Schwartz rounds within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Social Care, this is an exciting opportunity to support students and newly qualified practitioners as they transition into practice. I am passionate about improving the quality of practice learning experiences and supporting innovations that enhance and promote best practice. 

I have supported virtual placements such as, Bridging the Gap to Leadership – in collaboration with the University of Brighton. I currently facilitate Practice Education/Practice Assessor/Supervisor Updates/Training with NHS Trust/Placement Providers. I have facilitated sessions for the Placement Expansion Programme - Allied Health Professions, Nursing - Educator Network sessions. I currently facilitate Adult Nurse ‘Student Experience Workshops’ and 'Developing the student practice learning experience' with NHS Trust Placement Providers. I also have past experience in Teaching and Assessment within Adult Nursing; Leadership and Management, Introduction to the human body, Promoting Health through interprofessional relationships, Professional Practice, Nursing Practice, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology, Professional Development, Professional Communication and Leadership, Collaborative Practice. 

I am currently working on a research article for implementing Schwartz rounds at CCCU.
