Mr Antony Power

Academic Tutor

School of Law, Policing and Social Sciences

I am Law Academic Tutor

I am CCCU Alumni from 2019 and became a sessional member of staff in 2021, leading to becoming a full-time Academic Tutor in December 2022. As a former Police Officer, it was inevitable for me to have involvement with the Criminal Law module, but I also get involved with Equity & Trusts and I am the module lead for the Employment Law. As an Academic Tutor, I get involved with co-curricular and extra-curricular activities such as the Law and Mooting Society, CLOCK project, (Community Legal Companions), external speakers, and events. This is alongside supporting students both academically and in aspects of well-being.

The role of Academic Tutor draws up my careers in the Police as a student officer tutor, manager in specialist child-care for complex needs, (including Autism), Self-employed trainer, consultant, County Court advocate, and paralegal.

Employment Module Leader - Criminal Law seminars - Equity & Trusts seminars

ACILEX - Accredited Expert Witness in use of force in restraint and management of challenging behaviour.
