Mrs Susan Roberts

Senior Lecturer

School of Nursing

Susan joined the School of Nursing at Canterbury Christ Church University in September 1997.

I have been a Nurse Fellow, Lecturer, then Senior Lecturer at the university since 1997.

I teach on BSc Adult Nursing, MSc Nursing (Adult or Mental Health), Return to Practice, and both the Nursing Associate and Degree Nurse Apprenticeship courses.
I am a Personal Academic Tutor on the BSc course.

I qualified as an Adult Nurse in 1986. Prior to starting work at the university, I worked in East Kent in various settings, including a mixed speciality short stay ward, oncology and out patient units and district nursing teams.

  • Masters Applied Social Science 2006

  • RN Adult nursing Kent and Canterbury school of nursing Registered Nurse July 1986
  • Diploma Community Health ( District Nursing) CCUC Specialist practice 1994
  • Nurse Prescribing CCUC 1997

Prior to working at the university, I was very keenly involved in teaching in practice. This included teaching nursing students, fellow staff colleagues, and delivering teaching sessions to staff in care homes. 

Since joining the University, I completed the Certificate of Education (Post Compulsory) in 2000. I now teach on a number of courses at Canterbury Christ Church University.
