Since April 2018, I have served as a consultant at the Department of Medical Oncology, Medway NHS Foundation Trust, Kent Oncology Centre, UK, and I am the Clinical Lead within the Department of Research and Innovation. I am actively involved in translational research in cancer and am Principal Investigator in phase I-III studies. My research interests include individualisation of patient treatment and targeted therapies in gynecological cancers, cancer of unknown primary site, urological cancers, new drug development and cancer diagnosed in pregnancy. In October 2020, I received the title of Honorary Senior Lecturer from King's College London (School of Cancer and Pharmaceutical Sciences) and have been actively engaged in research and postgraduate teaching. Additionally, since November 2023, I have been honoured with the designation of Visiting Professor within the Faculty of Medicine, Health, and Social Care at Canterbury Christ Church University.
I have been involved in several international and national specialist groups including the European Network of Gynecological Oncological Trial Groups (ENGOT), and the Gynecological working group of the Hellenic Cooperative Oncology Group (HeCOG). I am also a European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and Hellenic Society of Medical Oncology (HeSMO) member, and have given several presentations at medical and scientific conferences nationally and internationally. I have been guest editor or editorial board member of many highly esteemed journals. I have co-authored over 110 PubMed-indexed peer-reviewed publications and hold a Scopus H-index score of 34, with more than 2,400 citations.
