Mrs Stephanie Banfield

Senior Lecturer

School of Nursing

Stephanie is an Adult Nursing Lecturer working within the school of Nursing.

I qualified as a nurse in 2004 with a BSc (hons) in Adult Nursing. Since 2004, I specialised in hyper acute and stroke rehabilitation, working in St Thomas' Hospital Foundation Trust London, William Harvey Ashford and Kings College Hospital London. I have since completed an MA in Practice Education.  I have been at the university since 2022. I am currently a module lead and personal tutor.

Prior to working in the university, I was a Practice Educator for eight and a half years, specialising in teaching Hyper Acute Stroke Care and Neurology.  Since joining the university, I have been teaching Foundation Year, Undergraduate and Postgraduates. My teaching focus has been in the area of acute care, neurology and clinical supervision and professional development.
