I am a Senior Lecturer in Secondary Initial Teacher Education, and I am the subject leader for English.

I primarily teach on the PGCE Secondary (QTS) and the QTS / PGCE School Based courses, working as the subject leader for English.

Having previously taught for one year at the University of Limoges in France and for almost 8 years as a secondary school English teacher in the UK, I joined CCCU in 2024. 

'I am interested in research questions that relate to literacy, pedagogy, classroom talk, creative writing, poetry and educational resourcing.

I am a member of the National Association for the Teaching of English (NATE), the National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE), the Chartered College of Teaching and the United Kingdom Literacy Association (UKLA).
