Senior Lecturer in Policing

I joined CCCU in 2017, and am a Senior Lecturer in Policing on the PQEF Contracts Team.

I left the Metropolitan Police Service, in order to develop the PEQF programmes of the Policing Team.

I am now part of the team that delivers the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and Degree Holder Entry Programme as part of the Police Education Consortium to Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire Police.

I am currently undertaking a PhD on examining the link between the Epistemic Authority and Self-Legitimacy of frontline police officer.

BSc(Hons) Professional Policing Practice (PCDA)

GDip Professional Policing Practice (DHEP).

I have also contributed to the MSc Programmes teaching about within the policing world.

My research interests include:

  • Police Training and Education
  • Response Policing
  • Police CPD.

I am a working member of the Police Education Consortium on the Programme Design Group.

I am also an external examiner at Brunel University for their PCDA and DHEP Programmes being delivered to the MPS, Member of Society for Evidence Based Policing, FHEA
