Dr Rehmath Jahan Chikkandar

I hold a Ph.D. in Management with a specialisation in Entrepreneurship and have around 12 years of experience in Higher Education. Also, I teach various Business, Management, and Tourism subjects to students pursuing Graduate, Master, and Diploma courses. Apart from being a Senior Lecturer and researcher, I am an effective leader who strives to fulfil the organisation's mission, needs, and goals by completing assigned tasks within the stipulated time.

As an Academic Link Tutor, I serve by acting as a Subject Chair to oversee the moderation of work in specific subject areas and conducting double-marking. I am responsible for providing academic advice, initiating, and overseeing standardisation meetings. I also support activities such as academic misconduct procedures, moderation, and peer reviews, and provide guest lectures. In addition, I contribute to all aspects of academic planning and work, while teaching business management.

The research work started with a Ph.D. thesis on management, focusing mainly on women's entrepreneurship in the unorganized sector. Later, the interest shifted towards entrepreneurship, tourism, women's empowerment, and International Business (Entrepreneurship). The author has published around 22 research papers, books, and chapters, with a significant focus on business perspective research. The aim of Entrepreneurial and Tourism research is to collect information from multiple fields such as company, industry, finance, market/consumer behavior, and trademarks/patents worldwide. This information is then used to create new economic development and innovations that have a global impact.
