In my role as Clinical and Academic tutor I deliver lecture based and small group teaching, line manage Trainee Clinical Psychologists, co-ordinate various teaching units and supervise and examine research on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
My clinical work is with working age adults across a range of difficulties, and spans the mild to the more complex. I also have a specialist expertise in supporting people with the psychological impact of living with a physical health condition (cancer, chronic pain and other chronic health conditions). I’m integrative in my clinical approach, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Mindfulness (including MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy, and Systemic approaches.
I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London in 2009, and have also completed Teacher Training in Mindfulness with Bangor University. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, UK (HCPC).
I have worked in a number of NHS trusts including Guy’s and St Thomas’ and Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust; as well as Maggie's Cancer Care Centre. I have also worked as a Clinical Tutor on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme at University College London (UCL).
