I currently work in the Faculty of Education. My academic interests are Computing and how it can be used not only as a tool for teaching and learning but also the teaching of programming to primary aged pupils.
I lead on the Undergraduate course for Computing and also Lead on Year 3 Mathematics on the Undergraduate course.
As part of my role I support schools with their development of the Computing curriculum specifically with relation to programming.
I have an MA in ICT and Education with my final dissertation being on Online Learning Environments and how effectively they are used or not used and the reasons behind this
I am currently the external examiner at Plymouth for Mathematics on the B Ed and various PGCE courses including School Direct from Early Years through to Key Stage 2.
