Dr Mujde Bideci

Reader in Marketing

I am a Reader in Marketing at Christ Church Business School.

Mujde is a Reader in Marketing and leads on consumer studies, XR technologies and eye tracking experiments at school. She currently provides support for scholarly outputs, big data analysis and research and enterprise grants and serve as nominative representative of BLP in REKM committee and a steering committee member in Women Research Network. She also serves as an Academic Link Tutor for Nanyang Institute of Management.

She has led workshops on methodological approaches in postgraduate level and organise market research webinars for wider university. Mujde currently delivers eye tracking and VR (Virtual Reality) trainings for both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees as well as staff at BLP. She has published in consumer behaviour and experience, tourism marketing and on neurodivergent individuals in cultural heritage sites and in top tier journals such as Tourism Management (Q1/4*). Mujde serves in several marketing and consumer journals in editorial roles. She served as REF Unit Steering Committee Member UoA17.

Mujde was awarded her PhD in 2018 and has worked as research assistant for eight years in Turkey since 2010, before joining UIR in Morocco in 2019 as an assistant professor. In 2021, Mujde joined the CCCU as a Senior Lecturer in Marketing. Dr Bideci currently supervises MSc and PhD students and accept new students in consumer behaviour, tourism marketing and neural network studies with a specific interest in neural marketing, big data analysis and machine learning.

Dr Bideci has led on Consumer Behaviour and Experience, Market Research, Introduction to Marketing, Marketing Communications, Intercultural Marketing Communications, Marketing Planning and Management, Marketing Experience and Visitor Economy. She also designed and contributed to Research skills and writing in business and Preparing health data for SPSS (Clinical Psychology students) and have designed Consumer Behaviour, Consumer Experience, Intercultural Marketing Communication, and Emerging Creative Technologies (PGT challenge module) in the new Academic Framework.

Mujde actively supervises across undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes and provides supervision, mentorship and training for students and staff.

Dr Mujde Bideci has published in consumer behaviour research, tourism marketing, cultural heritage, and advance network methods.

Dr Bideci is an External Examiner at University West of London. She also serves as a panel member for UKRI ESRC Review Panel Member and Fellow of Advance HE. Mujde also serves as a member of Tourist Guiding Association (TUREB), led by Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Turkey. She has also invited as panellist to Aspirational Digital, a keynote speaker to XRSite Youtube and blog, and a chair for ICOT2024 to run XR and Metaverse Applications in Transforming Tourism, Events, and Cultural Heritage Experiences.

Mujde has been invited to several events as VR facilitator such as British Academy of Management in 2025, CCU KE Breakfast Event.
