Mary started her training at the Nightingale School London, and is a Senior Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University.

RGN, Independent Nurse Prescriber, MSc Cardiology, PGCert Heart Failure, PG Cert Academic Practice.

Expert clinician and educator.

Nurse Consultant specialising in Cardiology.

Broad experience in both primary and secondary healthcare settings.

Skills in clinical quality and leadership, service development, care provision, education and senior management.

CQC associate inspector.

Board level experience within NHS Commissioning services.

As a Nurse Consultant, I taught whilst working as an expert practitioner. Teaching advanced clinical skills, independent prescribing, and communication skills supported clinicians in practice. I have taught in a number of Universities including Kent and Medway Medical School, Greenwich University and the University of Kent. I have also worked with the British Heart Foundation to provide a National Communication skills programme.

I am currently looking at research into dementia care.

I have acted as a trustee to Ellenor Hospice in Gravesend.
