School of Allied and Public Health Professions

Martin is a Senior Lecturer within the School of Allied & Public Health Professions.

My current position is part-time Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography. I am the pathway lead for the post graduate Clinical Reporting MRI modules, as well as lead for a second-year undergraduate Preliminary Clinical Evaluation module.

I qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer from CCCU in 1992 and have undertaken post graduate clinical reporting studies through CCCU also.

I also work as an MRI Clinical Reporting Radiographer at a busy local NHS trust.

My specialist area of expertise is clinical reporting and preliminary clinical evaluation, particularly in the area of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

I teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, linking theoretical reporting principals with practical implementation in the clinical environment.

My research interests include clinical reporting by Radiographers, particularly in the realm of MRI reporting as well as the field of preliminary clinical evaluation, both undergraduate and postgraduate.

I provide MRI PCE study days in collaboration with the British Institute of Radiology and Collective Minds. I am a reviewer for the Radiography journal - the official peer-reviewed journal of the Society and College of Radiographers and the European Federation of Radiographer Societies. I am also a reviewer for the Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences, an international journal in medical imaging/diagnostic radiography.
