Dr Mamunur's teaching and research areas encompass a broad scope within quantitative and international finance, covering modules such as Excel in Finance, FinTech, and Portfolio Management.
Dr Mamunur is presently serving the role of Course Director for Economics.
Dr. Mamunur has had a teaching career spanning approximately two decades, during which he has taught in four countries. He was responsible for the designing, leading, and teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate curricula pertaining to conventional and Islamic finance.
Mamunur possesses a substantial body of work, consisting of more than 100 manuscripts, five edited volumes, eleven grants, and numerous industry reports. His publications include works featured in esteemed academic journals such as JIFMIM, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Renewable Energy, Tourism Analysis, International Review of Economics and Finance, Renewable Energy, and International Journal of Bank Marketing, among others.
Dr Mamunur has served as a fellow at the GIFTZ Centre of Prince Sultan University in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, he has assumed the role of Chief Judge for the Emerald Reviewer Training Competition in Malaysia. Furthermore, he has played a pivotal role as the founding deputy director of the CIBFR at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. Mamunur holds positions on the editorial boards of two widely recognised journals.
