Miss Elizabeth Cotter

Lecturer in Adult Nursing

School of Nursing

Lizi is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Social Care.

Following completion of my BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing at Canterbury Christ Church University, I gained vast experience from working in a variety of acute settings. This included acute medicine, emergency medicine and critical care.
Since joining the university in 2021, I have been undertaking my Post graduate certificate in Academic Practice and have obtained the Associate Fellowship of Higher Education.

I act as the Cohort and Practice Lead for the S22 cohort of BSc Adult Nursing students. In addition to this I am Personal Academic Tutor for a group within this cohort.

Prior to joining the university, I had experience of teaching within a clinical setting, supporting student nurses as well as qualified staff. I undertake teaching across different academic modules on the BSc Adult Nursing and Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship courses, as well as simulated practice learning. I have a particular interest in the acutely unwell patients, those with risk of deterioration and pathophysiology and pharmacology as well as practice experience.
