Lecturer in journalism 

As well as teaching across all three years of the BA (Hons) degree in multimedia journalism, I have taught professional writing on the BA (Hons) Creative and Professional Writing degree. I also designed and led a workshop on social media, publishing and journalism to help humanities students understand the transferable skills they can apply in the workplace.

Most recently I produced and led a workshop for postgraduate students on the MA in Media, Communications and PR. Drawing on my experience working for BBC.com and Wall Street Journal Europe, the session explained How to connect effectively with English-speaking international media.    

I refresh and deepen my knowledge of the media landscape by interviewing leading journalists and authors at book festivals and other literary events — most recently, Gavin Esler, Lucy Kellaway, Luke Harding and John Preston.
